Founded in 2011 as an affinity retreat for kinky or curious men who have sex with men (MSM), GearUp Weekend is a San Francisco Bay Area-based group of gay male kinksters and fetish enthusiasts centered around our annual retreat. The retreat, at Saratoga Springs Retreat Center in Northern California (about 3 hours north of San Francisco), is where kinky and kink-curious men of all ages (21+) and backgrounds can socialize with, learn from, and play with other men in a safe and friendly environment. Our goal is to provide education and community in the San Francisco Bay Area for men of all levels of experience.

Part of GearUp’s magic lies in its diversity: you’ll see men decked out in as much leather as the heat and hydration allow, puffing cigars in the designated smoking area, while others rock giant sun hats, clacking fans, and ride unicorn floaties in the pool.
